Thanks to both Jamie’s frequent endorsements and their own sponsorship of my favorite local indie radio station, I’ve very recently been turned on to Etsy.com an amazing marketplace of hand-crafted awesomeness.
Today, I made my first purchase! In the spirit of home-decorating and moving, I looked for artwork. I first looked for local imagery, but there are a couple of Twin Cities photogs whose work I’ve loved for years, and I think I may just go straight to their sites (since they’re not on Etsy). But in terms of other artwork, I stumbled upon this gem: John W. Golden and bought these awesome pics:
Even better? In honor of Cyber Monday, the seller has listed all of his prints as BOGO! So I paid $20 (plus $5 shipping) for both of these!

I wish I had more time to search the ’stacks’ of Etsy. It is truly an amazing place. BOGO … it’s gotta stand for something along the lines of pay what you can afford, right?
